Welcome to Wilson Stuart School
Wilson Stuart is located in Perry Common, Erdington in the north of Birmingham. It caters for 270 pupils aged 2-19 years with complex physical disabilities and medical conditions and also 28 mainstream nursery aged children in our Bluesky Butterflies Nursery provision. Some pupils have additional difficulties including sensory impairment, learning difficulties and communication difficulties. We have outstanding purpose built facilities and highly trained, enthusiastic and committed staff. This combination enables us to provide the specialised individual programmes required by our pupils.
Our EYFS provision has a combination of SEND and mainstream students who attend our all year round Bluesky Nursery. We have Primary and Secondary Schools at Wilson Stuart and our 16-19 Sixth Form programme offers a variety of academic and vocational qualifications as well as bespoke preparing for adulthood opportunities.
Our last 6 OFSTED inspections have all resulted in an ’Outstanding’ report the latest taking place in March 2019. We are very proud of our achievements and strive daily to maintain our excellent standards. ”
“ The leadership team has maintained the outstanding quality of education in the school since the last inspection.” – Ofsted March 2019
A message from the Executive Head Teacher Mr Simon Harris:
“I am delighted to welcome you to the Wilson Stuart School website.
At Wilson Stuart, we are determined that all our students make outstanding progress and succeed. We aim to support them all to do their very best, enjoy school and to develop important qualities such as respecting, understanding and helping each other.
We have high expectations for our students and have created an environment in which each individual is supported and challenged to achieve their full potential, both inside and outside the classroom. Accordingly, we expect our students to be ready to learn, to work hard and to take pride in their achievements. We also have an exciting and rich curriculum which provides all of our students the opportunity to experience and enjoy a wide range of activities.
We believe that working together pays dividends. We encourage and support parents to play an active role in their child’s education and we have outstanding relationships with our local community, schools and businesses. These partnerships provide great benefits to our school and students.
We hope you find our web-site interesting and informative. If you would like any further information please contact school by telephone or e-mail.”
