At Wilson Stuart we understand that developing a student’s communication and/or Literacy skills underpins all possible progress and is intrinsic to their long-term adult outcomes, wellbeing and self-esteem.
Central to this we promote an environment where reading and stories are celebrated, and Love of Reading is modelled to our students. The quality and variety of language that pupils are exposed to is vital for learning in all pathways: developing communication and interaction skills for all, alongside vocabulary, grammar, writing and comprehension for some will better prepare them for adulthood and ensure a better quality of life.
